Former UNH player no New York Jets practice squad

The on-again off-again NFL career of former University of New Hampshire receiver David Ball is on again.

The 23-year-old Barre nativehas been signed to the New York Jets’ practice squad following unsuccessful stops with the Chicago Bears, who cut him before the start of the season.

As a practice team player, Ball aspires just to get on the field during a game. But there’s only one week left in the NFL season, and it’s unlikely he’ll get his chance Sunday against Cleveland.

He says he’s never been one to pay attention to newspapers or magazines or things that are said. He just wants to earn respect in the Jets’ locker room.
