People who worked at a paper mill in Gilman before it was closed four years ago by American Paper Mill are about to get unpaid wages and medical claims.

A total of $400,000 will be distributed to the 120 people who worked at the mill when it closed in 2002.

The biggest check is estimated to be for more than $20,000 for a former worker who had high medical expenses.

The average payment is between $3,000 and $4,000.
