Flooding Decreases State Park Visits

Record spring rains and flooding are being blamed for a decline in visits to Vermont state parks this year.

State Parks Director Craig Whipple told WPTZ-TV that visits to state parks are down 7 percent so far this year compared to last year.

He blames the decline on late openings at half a dozen state parks that had to delay their seasonal openings after the flooding.
