Fletcher Allen Health Care has received a $400,000 dollar gift for cancer research.
The money is from the estate of Barbara Stevens of Morrisville, who died in 2011 at age 85. Her wishes were to support medical research at the Burlington hospital.
The Vermont Cancer Center is a not-for-profit clinical and research cancer center, the only one of its kind in the state.
It is within the University of Vermont College of Medicine and has a clinical partnership with Fletcher Allen Health Care.
