Fletcher Allen ends fiscal year with loss

Fletcher Allen Health Care ended its fiscal year in September with a $5.6 million loss. The hospital had projected to end the year in the black with a gain of $24.5 million, but fewer patients used the facility than had been projected. Hospital officials also blamed operational inefficiencies.
