State Senator Ed Flanagan is safe today after his car rolled over on the entrance ramp to Interstate 89 in South Burlington.

According to police, Flanagan was on the entrance ramp curve, headed for the northbound lane of I-89, when his car went off the road and flipped over.

Flanagan, who’s 55, suffered minor hand injuries and refused treatment. He had been wearing his seatbelt.

The police report said the accident occurred around ten-thirty this morning and that Flanagan was traveling about 40 miles-per-hour.

His car was destroyed in the roll-over.
