Vermont is one of only two states that allow convicted felons to vote, even while in prison. Tom Hughes of Milton was a banker and an accountant before he was convicted of embezzlement. He now works with WGLY Christian radio and at an organization called The Church at Prison.
He talked with Vermont Edition about his civic participation from behind bars and beyond.
