The National Weather Service says February was the snowiest on record at Vermont’s Burlington International Airport.

The month isn’t over yet and there’s a bit more snow in the forecast.

As of Sunday, Burlington had received 42.6 inches of snow in February. The old record was 42.3 inches, set in 2008.

The snowiest winter on record in Burlington was 1970-71 when 145 inches of snow fell.

Today’s forecast is predicting 1 to 4 inches of snow, for most of the state, but just a half inch of snow in Burlington.
