Michael Isaacson is considered one of the most prolific and accomplished Jewish American composers of our time.

In addition to scoring numerous films and television shows, Isaacson has written and recorded hundreds of Jewish and secular compositions.

Isaacson’s career began four decades ago, when he was a teaching assistant to Vermont’s famed conductor, Robert De Cormier.

Isaacson reunites with his former instructor this week, as he joins forces with Counterpoint for a concert of sacred and liturgical music Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Bethany Church in Montpelier. Isaacson will give a pre-concert lecture at 6:45 p.m.
