Fairfax man’s lawsuit thrown out

A judge has thrown out a lawsuit filed by a Fairfax man running for the US Senate as a Republican.

Superior Court Judge Howard VanBenthuysen has ruled that Peter Moss has not proven any state laws had been violated.

VanBenthuysen says Moss’s allegations of conspiracy to silence or ignore his candidacy do not rise to the criminal statutes that a state’s attorney could prosecute.

Moss sued the state Republican Party, its chairman and executive director and all 14 county chairmen.

He also sued Republican Senate candidate Jack McMullen and Secretary of State Deborah Markowitz.

VanBenthuysen dismissed the lawsuits against all of the defendants.
