Electric customers still without power

About 2,800 electric customers are still without power this afternoon following the weekend’s high winds.

The state’s largest utility, Central Vermont Public Service Corporation, says crews are working to repair the remaining breaks. But CVPS says some customers in Windham and Windsor County could be without service until tomorrow.

About 20,000 customers lost power over the weekend.

The outages were caused by tree limbs falling on power lines. Most of the outages occurred in Brattleboro, Rutland and Springfield.

Scattered outages were reported around the state.
