More than eighty Norwich University cadets have been commissioned as officers in the U.S. military.

They graduated yesterday with their civilian classmates from the nation’s oldest military college.

Four Vermonters were among those who took an oath of office Saturday to serve in the armed forces.

They say the war has not changed their decision to serve.

Retired General Richard Myers, former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff gave the commissioning oath.
