Eight laptops stolen from University of Vermont dorm

University of Vermont Police Chief Gary Margolis says it’s disturbing that eight laptop computers were stolen from a dormitory, some while students were sleeping in the rooms.

The computers were taken from the Harris-Mills residence hall Tuesday morning.

Margolis says the thefts occurred between 6 a.m. and 7:30 a.m.

Margolis says not locking doors is a persistent issue with college students everywhere because students think of their dorms rooms as a home.
