Lieutenant Governor Brian Dubie has been in Cuba since Monday, leading a Vermont delegation that’s trying to build personal and commercial relationships.
Speaking from Cuba, Dubie said he could envision a trade relationship with Vermont farmers.
(Dubie) The government has a policy that each child under 7 will have available a liter of milk a day. The reality is, many children do not receive the milk that’s required. If Vermont farmers can help to feed the people of Cuba, that’s a good thing. And perhaps we can build a relationship not just based on food, but on mutual respect.”
(Host) Lieutenant Governor Dubie and the other Vermonters in Cuba will be back home this weekend.
