Outgoing Governor Jim Douglas will hold his final press conference with the media today.
Douglas, a Republican, did not seek re-election after eight years.
His spokesman says due to special circumstances part of the event may be held outdoors.
Governor-elect Peter Shumlin, a Democrat, will succeed Douglas next month.
