Vermont Governor Jim Douglas is attending a conference on Internet connectivity in Maryland today.
Douglas touted his plan to make Vermont an “E-state,” by spreading broadband Internet access everywhere within its borders.
The “Freedom to Connect” conference, as the event is called, is a chance for advocates to gather and share strategies for making high-speed Internet access universally available.
As he has previously in Vermont, Douglas told those gathered that high-speed Internet access is key to economic development.
