Governor Jim Douglas has appointed a professor of Nuclear and Mechanical
Engineering to a Vermont Yankee oversight panel.
Doctor Lawrence Hochreiter will be a member of a public oversight panel
charged with providing an assessment of the inspection and condition of
Vermont Yankee to the legislature by early next year.
Doctor Hochreiter currently studies and teaches reactor safety analysis
and development at Pennsylvania State University.
Governor Douglas says he’s confident that Hochreither will put safety and
reliability first with his work on the public oversight panel
