Vermont Law School, which bans military recruiting on its campus until gays are allowed to openly serve, will hold a town hall meeting calling for an end to the "don’t ask, don’t tell" policy.

The free event is scheduled for 5:30 Wednesday in the Chase Community Center, and is sponsored by the Vermont Law School’s Gay-Straight Alliance and the Student Bar Association.

A panel that includes alumnus Capt. Rory Thibault of the U.S. Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps, will discuss the school’s nondiscrimination policy and the Solomon Amendment, a federal law that withholds some federal research money from schools that don’t give military recruiters the same campus access as other employers.
