Democrats have picked delegates for the party’s state convention in May when the party will elect national delegates for the Democratic National Convention in August.

On Saturday, 190 caucuses were held around Vermont to fill up to 1,600 state delegate slots.

But the state Democratic Party’s executive director didn’t think that many people would attend the caucuses.

In Burlington, 60 people showed up at the caucus where 104 delegate slots were up for grabs.

The delegates chosen will meet in Barre on May 24 to decide who will become the 10 pledged national delegates for the convention in Denver.

Six of the 10 national delegates will go to Barack Obama and four to Hillary Clinton, based on Obama’s win in Vermont’s primary.
