Supporters of a bill making it legal to end your life with a doctor’s help are taking their cause on the road.

Patient Choices Vermont advocates for what they call "death with dignity" legislation pending before Vermont lawmakers, and have events planned in St. Albans on today, Middlebury and Manchester on Thursday and Hardwick on Friday.

George Eighmey, who helped Oregon pass a similar bill, will join retired University of Vermont professor Dr. David Babbott to discuss the bill.

Opponents say assisted suicide is wrong and shouldn’t be legalized.

The event tonight is set for 6:30 at the St. Albans Historical Museum.
