Dean, Kerry, Lieberman tied in California poll

A new poll finds former Vermont Governor Howard Dean among the top-three Democratic presidential candidates in California.
Dean is in a statistical tie with Senator John Kerry of Massachusetts and Senator Joe Lieberman of Connecticut. Dean garnered 16% support in the poll, Kerry had 15% and Lieberman has 14%. The margin of error was 5%.

The survey was conducted by the nonpartisan Field Research Institute. According to the poll, one-third of California Democrats are undecided in the race.

California has 55 electoral votes, the most of any state.
