Howard Dean’s campaign is complaining to rival Dick Gephardt’s staff about an angry confrontation between campaign workers. The incident occurred during a speech by Gephardt at a senior center in Des Moines on Tuesday.
The Vermont State Republican Party has launched a new effort to persuade Democrats here not to support Howard Dean’s presidential campaign. Vermont Party Chairman Jim Barnett e-mailed news outlets today with a collection of published statements by Democrats who oppose Dean.
Dean is calling for a more extensive review of the plan to locate the nation’s nuclear waste dump in Nevada. But Dean is not saying he’s opposed to the Yucca Mountain repository.
