Dean campaigns with Kerry in Oregon

Howard Dean has joined former rival John Kerry on the presidential campaign trail. At a rally in Portland, Oregon, Dean said on Tuesday he was confident that Kerry would send U.S. troops into battle “only after telling the truth to the American people.” Dean ran as a staunch anti-war candidate for the Democratic nomination, but says Kerry served in Vietnam with “patriotism and valor.”
