The grave of a Bennington man will be exhumed after some family members claimed they didn’t know he had been buried.

A Probate Court judge has ruled that when Walter LaFlamme died January 8, his son made arrangements to have him buried the next day without telling LaFlamme’s daughter or other son about his death.

The daughter had asked the court to have the body returned to the funeral home for a funeral service.

But two of the man’s sons want him to rest in peace.

No action can be taken until 30 days after the January 25 court ruling.
