A New Hampshire couple had to be rescued when they were thrown overboard after their 16-foot motor boat hit a large wave on Lake Maidstone in Vermont.

Vermont State Police say Ronald and Jana St. Germain of Dover were thrown overboard at 1 p.m. Saturday while boating on the Lake.

The St. Germains were rescued by other boaters, but police say their unmanned boat traveled in circles for about 25 minutes. The boat eventually changed its course and struck several docks and moored boats before coming to a stop against a dock frame.

Police say there was extensive damage to boats and docks, but nobody was injured.
