Vermont Democrats are sending a young delegation to the national convention that begins in Denver on Monday.

Vermont’s 20 delegates and seven super delegates will help select senators Barack Obama and Joe Biden as the party’s presidential ticket.

Party spokeswoman Liz Saxe says one delegate at 27 is the youngest member of the Vermont Legislature. One delegate is 18 and a third are younger than 30. But there are also veterans.

Former Governor Madeleine Kunin will be attending her fifth convention.
