The Connecticut River Watershed Council is asking riverside residents and visitors to let it know about instances of illegal dumping along the river’s banks.

The conservation group is asking all watershed residents to report trash sites in need of cleaning up by logging onto their website at www.ctriver.org.

The site also allows people to sign up for the annual Source to Sea Cleanup on Saturday Oct. 1st and join thousands of other volunteers across New England combating their own trash problems.

A similar request for reports last year yielded more than 15 reports, including a tip about a massive tire dump in Hadley, Mass., and illegally dumped trash in Putney, Vt.
