Two community organizations say they plan to work with entrepreneurs in northern New Hampshire and Vermont to create more well-paid jobs.

The Northern Community Investment Corporation and Vested for Growth say they plan to identify a small number of area businesses with strong potential, and then help them grow.

Jon Freeman – president of Northern Investment – says many area businesses are resourceful, but lack technical and financial support. The two organizations aim to fill those gaps with an investment philosophy that gives promising companies time to evolve and grow.

Freeman says more well-paid jobs will benefit the region and prevent some of its young people from having to go elsewhere to find good jobs.
