Classes help lawmakers improve campaign skills

House Speaker Walter Freed is urging his fellow Republicans to attend “campaign school.” The classes teach legislators – particularly those in their first term – to hone their political skills. Democrats also have been busy recruiting candidates and periodically conducting weekend candidate training sessions.
