In the coming year, the five-person Green Mountain Care Board will lead the state of Vermont on the path to a single payer health care system they hope to have in place by 2017.
And this week we’ll be hearing from two doctors with very different views on the proposed changes to the state’s health care system.
Today VPR’s Mitch Wertlieb speaks with Dr. Daniel McCauliffe, a Rutland dermatologist who’s been voicing his concerns with opinion pieces in both the Rutland Herald and the Burlington Free Press. Dr. McCauliffe is skeptical about much of what the Green Mountain Board is hoping to accomplish.
