Dennis Carver of East Montpelier has won the Republican nomination to run for attorney general.
Carver beat Karen Kerin of Royalton on Tuesday in the GOP primary, capturing 68 percent of the vote, to 31 percent for Kerin with 66 percent of the precincts reporting, according to unofficial results.
