A driver whose tour bus crashed on Interstate 91 last year, hurting 28 people, wants two of three charges against him to be dismissed. According to police reports, Colum Flaherty was driving a bus with 51 passengers from Boston to the Okemo Mountain ski resort in Ludlow when the crash happened in February 2002.

Flaherty is charged with two counts of aggravated assault and one count of gross negligent operation of a vehicle. His lawyer asked a judge last week to dismiss the two charges of aggravated assault. Flaherty has been free on $5,000 bail since the day after the accident.
