The trustees of Vermont’s Burlington College are expected to discuss the future of President Jane O’Meara Sanders during a meeting.

An agenda item for today’s college’s board of trustees’ meeting includes an item, "Removal of the President."

Sanders is the wife of U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders. She issued a statement last week saying the board will discuss the future leadership of the college.

Sanders has led the 200-student college since 2004.

Earlier this year the college moved into a 77,000-square-foot building formerly owned by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Burlington on North Avenue.
