Burlington International Airport is getting $2.4 million in federal stimulus money. The U.S. Department of Transportation announced the funding yesterday.

The money will be used to rehabilitate and re-pave the intersection of two taxi-ways and extend a third.

The projects are part of the airport’s South End Development program, which is designed to enhance cargo, aircraft maintenance and aviation capabilities. Airport officials estimate the project could create 350 new jobs over the next ten years.
