Emergency crews are responding to the second emergency at Burlington International Airport today. Emergency radio traffic indicated unexplained bumping was reported on a flight carrying 36 passengers and 5,000 pounds of fuel.
The Burlington Free Press says that at about 3:30 this afternoon the flight was in the air.

Meanwhile, A Chicago-bound United Airlines regional jet made an emergency landing this morning at the airport.
The plane returned shortly after takeoff.

A United spokesman said that a cockpit indicator light erroneously alerted the flight crew to smoke in the cargo hold.

The spokesman also said earlier reports of engine failure were also erroneous.
