Brock: Akin’s Remarks ‘Ignorant’

Republican gubernatorial candidate Randy Brock is using the words "ignorant, offensive and insensitive" to describe remarks made over the weekend by Missouri Republican U.S. Senate candidate Todd Akin.

Akin generated a firestorm of controversy over comments he made about women rarely getting pregnant in cases of "legitimate rape."

Brock, a state senator who favors legal access to abortions, says Akin’s comments are insulting, particularly to women, rape victims and their loved ones. He says Akin should step aside from his bid to unseat Democratic Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill, something Akin so far as refused to do.
