Bradford feels “betrayed” by accused teacher

Hundreds of people turned out at Oxbow Union High School for a somber community get-together of parents, school officials and police _ many of them stunned and feeling betrayed by a sixth-grade teacher accused of molesting one of his students. Some said last night that suspect Richard A. Foster’s fondness for young boys was an open secret and that he spent a lot of time with them away from school.

Foster’s accused of aggravated sexual assault and promoting pornography and is still hospitalized following the wrist-slashing suicide attempt he survived after being arrested. He was charged _ police say _ after the 12-year-old victim’s mother found sexually explicit photos that had been text-messaged to the boy’s cell phone.
