Border officials are warning job applicants of a financial scam.
The scam asks applicants to pay $1,000 during the hiring process.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials say they don’t charge a fee to apply for a job with their agency or any other federal agency.
Anyone who encounters the scam is asked to report it to local police.
