(Host) The novel “The Gospel According to Gracey” is an unflinching account of one day in the life of Atlanta’s drug-riddled underworld. Brattleboro author Suzanne Kingsbury spent three years in Atlanta investigating the heroin trade.

VPR’s Neal Charnoff talked to Kingsbury about her novel, and about the time she spent researching the book.

Note: Suzanne Kingsbury’s new novel is “The Gospel According to Gracey,” published by Scribner Books. She’ll read from her book Saturday at Heartstone Books in Putney, at 7:00 p.m.
