Police in Milton say the body of a boater missing since April 12th has been found – by his father.
David Driscoll’s body was found yesterday in the Lamoille River near Interstate 89 in Milton.
Driscoll, of Essex, and a friend were fishing on Arrowhead Mountain Lake above the Clark Falls Dam when their motorboat’s engine failed.
The current swept the boat against the dam and the other man was plucked from an open sluice gate but Driscoll was swept through and into the river.
Police officials tell the Burlington Free Press that the father was searching the Lamoille River when he spotted his son’s body about 600 yards west of where an Interstate 89 bridge spans the river, downstream from where Driscoll had disappeared.
