Libertarian Bob Barr has qualified for New Hampshire’s presidential ballot as an alternative to Republican John McCain and Democrat Barack Obama.

Barr beat Wednesday’s deadline to qualify for the ballot. He submitted more than 3,000 certified voter petitions to put his name on the ballot one and a half hours before the deadline.

He joins independent Ralph Nader and fellow Libertarian George Phillies as third party alternatives in the November 4th election.
