Blind Skiers Gather At Pico Mountain

Pico Mountain ski resort is playing host to a special group of skiers this weekend.

The United States Association of Blind Athletes’ fourth annual Ski Festival runs today through Monday at the resort. In it, up to 20 athletes of all ages and abilities will participate in receptions, Alpine and Nordic skiing sessions and a biathlon demonstration.

Vermont Adaptive, a non-profit organized involved in disabled sports, will provide ski guides and instructors.

On Saturday, a banquet dinner will be held at the Killington Grand Hotel.
