The town of Berlin is going to get state help to repair a dirt road connecting two parts of the community.

Select Board Chairwoman, Pat McDonald, says the town is going to receive more than $225,000 to help pay the cost of repairing the Crosstown Road.

Officials have estimated the total repair costs at more than $300,000.

McDonald says the town will still have to borrow money needed to complete the repairs.

Crosstown Road was closed earlier this year after part of the roadway moved.

The road connects the Riverton section of town with the center of the community.

With the road closed, residents have had to make long detours.
