Berlin Considers Municipal Water System

Berlin voters will weigh in next week on whether the town should borrow $5.5 million to create a municipal water system to serve the Four Corners area of town.

The bond will be repaid through system user fees, as is the case with Berlin’s existing sewer system, according to Town Administrator Jeff Schulz.

Schulz says the town-wide vote is being held prior to town meeting day because officials felt the bond vote was such a big issue that it needed to be separated out from other town meeting business.
