A Veterans Administration clinic that had been housed in the Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington now has a new space.
The clinic now has a 6,000-square foot location in downtown Bennington.
The director, Dr. Peter King, says the people who run the clinic are pinching themselves, they’re so happy. King says the clinic was basically run out of a hallway for eight years before it got the new space last month. A grand opening was held Friday.
It should get plenty of business. Vermont has about 63,000 veterans, about 4,700 of whom live in Bennington County.
