The life-span of any theater company can be tenuous, especially in difficult economic times. But Bennington’s Oldcastle Theater Company is celebrating its 41st birthday by beginning a new chapter.
Oldcastle has moved into a new space on Main Street in Bennington, which it will christen with a brand-new play. Northern Boulevard is an original musical with music and lyrics by Bennington’s own Carleton Carpenter. The play runs through December 23rd.
VPR’s Neal Charnoff speaks with Oldcastle’s artistic director, Eric Peterson, about the play and the company’s new home.
