Teachers’ union members in the Southwest Vermont Supervisory Union have voted overwhelmingly to accept a new contract offer. Union representatives and SVSU leaders reached a tentative agreement on the contract last week.
The three-year contract is retroactive to July 1, 2004, and expires June 30, 2007. The contract covers teachers in six school districts: Bennington, North Bennington, Pownal, Shaftsbury, Woodford and the Mount Anthony Union District.
