The history of Bennington will be on display in a new exhibit at the Bennington Museum.
"Founding Documents," which opened Sunday and runs through May 30.
The exhibit celebrates the 250th anniversary of Bennington’s settlement by a group of 22 men, women and children from central Massachusetts.
Using the museum’s archives, the exhibit tells the story of Bennington’s first few decades, from the arrival of those settlers to until Vermont became the nation’s 14th state in 1791.
Organizers say the exhibit will be fascinating for anyone with an interest in history or the origin of Bennington.
