A bridge in Bennington will be closed for a month for construction.
The Vermont Agency of Transportation says the Route 7A bridge will be repaired and widened just north of the intersection with Route 67A.
Crews will replace the deteriorated bridge rail and rehabilitate the bridge deck as well as widen the travel section of the bridge by about five feet.
Berard Street, next to the bridge, also will be closed during the work. Traffic will be detoured to Phyllis Lane.
Drivers are advised to allow for extra time to reach their destinations.
