Bennington airport expansion scaled back

Vermont Transportation officials say they’ll scale back their plans to extend the runway at the state airport in Bennington. Richard Turner, aviation program manager at the Agency of Transportation, says he expects federal approval only for a 500-foot extension, rather than the 1,300-feet originally proposed. Some neighbors had strongly criticized the expansion.
